Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements: We will also consider candidates nearing graduation from their accredited MA program, or those with pending MA-C licensure (e.g. have recently relocated from out of state).
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution
Graduate of accredited school for Medical Assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for the WA State Certification exam
Active WA State Medical Assistant-Certified License
Current BLS - Must be AHA accredited
Preferred Qualifications:
6 months healthcare experience
6 months Medical Assistant experience
Active National certification/registration by AMCA, AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or NAHP as a Medical Assistant
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Medical Assistant, you will perform a variety of duties involved in providing patient care in a clinical setting and perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. This position may require floating to other clinics.
Screens patients to gather information without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge.
Obtains vital signs. Obtains and records patient history.
Prepares and maintains examination and treatment areas.
Prepares patients for and assisting with routine and specialty examinations, procedures, treatments, and minor office surgeries.
Maintains medication and immunization records.
