Kadlec Regional Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Practice Manager - Kadlec Clinic to join our growing Kadlec Clinic Nephrology Kennewick team located in Washington!

Shift Details: Full time, 1.0, Day Shift

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution within 3 years from date of hire into the position

  • 2 years healthcare experience

  • 1 year supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or Nursing from an accredited educational institution

  • 2 years practice management experience.

  • Lean process improvement experience

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

As a Practice Manager you will stay on track with course curriculum and developing a strong working knowledge of all administrative and operational functions of the clinics, and how to work closely with caregivers and providers to ensure the most effective and efficient clinical operations with the goal of providing great customer service, while engaging caregivers and providers. Perform duties in a manner which promotes team concepts and reflects the mission, vision and values of Kadlec and is expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established Kadlec policies and procedures.

  • Learn to develop patient care management that promotes high patient satisfaction, while ensuring provider and caregiver engagement

  • Make regular caregiver/clinic rounds to understand the workflow and areas that may need improvement

  • Learn to handle daily staffing needs of assigned clinics

  • Learn how to recruit and retain high quality caregivers

  • Implement coordinated onboarding efforts for new caregivers that join the practice

  • Learn how to provide timely feedback and evaluations for caregivers

  • Learn how to manage employee attendance and time tracking

  • Listen and resolve patient complaints

  • Actively participate in caregiver/provider engagement initiatives

  • Learn how to develop and implement safety huddles and process improvement efforts

  • Maintain a safe environment within the framework of High Reliability

  • Fulfill all requirements as laid out in the course curriculum, and proves competency within each segment of the required coursework

  • Operations Management:

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers, Administrators and subject matter experts to learn the skills of providing daily management of a physician practice site or multiple practice sites

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers, Administrators and subject matter experts to learn the skills of providing management, guidance and training to staff in daily practice operations

  • Perform duties of subordinate staff when necessary to maintain practice operations

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers, Administrators and subject matter experts to learn the skills of motivating staff and organizing day-to-day activity of department

  • Ensure scheduling of staff to promote provider productivity as well as to promote high clinical quality, high service quality, operational and financial viability, and to ensure appropriate patient access to practice

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers, Administrators and subject matter experts to learn the skills of purchasing supplies and insuring proper value for funds expended

  • Evaluate invoices for accuracy, codes and submits invoices to Central A/P on a timely basis

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers, Administrators and subject matter experts to learn the skills of providing accuracy of payroll submission

  • Ensure overtime and/or temporary personnel are within budget

  • Assist staff with payroll issues

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers, Administrators and subject matter experts to learn the skills related to understanding and assuring compliance for regulatory, accreditation and system process.

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers, Administrators and subject matter experts to learn the skills of Conducts conducting both weekly standup and monthly staff meetings

  • Prepare agendas and forwards meeting notes to Network Executive

  • Financial Management:

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers and Administrators to learn the skills of providing Reviews of monthly financial performance

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and works with POC to develop and to implement necessary changes to meet budget

  • Ensure compliance to fiscal standards with focus on volume, payer mix, fees, customer service initiatives, productivity, coding and documentation, non-provider labor, building occupancy expenses, and clinical supply costs

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers and Administrators to learn the skills of working with the POC to maintain practice operating and financial ratios to meet practice and system goals

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers and Administrators in participation with POC in annual budget development, and is accountable for practice adherence to budget and/or other fiscal goals

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers and Administrators to review point-of-service collections daily and accounts receivable on at least a monthly basis to ensure A/R is within established standards

  • Work with Clinic-Billing Manager, Administrative Director and subordinate staff to create action plans to address variances in A/R to standards

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers and Administrators to learn the skills of ensuring clinic staff is trained, capable and held accountable to provide high quality care in a caring manner, as well as for all other tasks within practice

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers and Administrators to learn the skills of ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, accreditation requirements and system policies/procedures for all activities within practice

  • Personnel:

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers and Administrators to learn the skills of providing real time feedback of all non-provider support staff

  • In partnership with the Director of Quality and Administrative Director-Nursing ensures that employees maintain licensure and certifications as required, as well as coordinating yearly competency evaluation as applicable

  • Collaborate with Human Resources on personnel issues including completing requisitions, interviewing, hiring, and constructive counseling and progressive discipline

  • Ensure appropriate staff competencies are maintained (licensure, certification, orientation, mandatory training continuing education)

  • Work in concert with existing Practice Managers and Administrators and with the POC to interview and hire non-physician personnel as necessary

  • Communicate regularly with the Administrative Director or designee that involve staff issues, critical patient care concerns, unit staffing changes, quality issues and other pertinent data
