Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements: We will also consider candidates nearing graduation from their accredited MA program, or those with pending MA-C licensure (e.g. have recently relocated from out of state).

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution

  • Graduate of accredited school for Medical Assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for the WA State Certification exam

  • Active WA State Medical Assistant-Certified License

  • Current BLS - Must be AHA accredited

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 months healthcare experience

  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience

  • Active National certification/registration by AMCA, AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or NAHP as a Medical Assistant

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

As a Medical Assistant, you will perform a variety of duties involved in providing patient care in a clinical setting and perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. This position may require floating to other clinics.

  • Screens patients to gather information without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge.

  • Obtains vital signs. Obtains and records patient history.

  • Prepares and maintains examination and treatment areas.

  • Prepares patients for and assisting with routine and specialty examinations, procedures, treatments, and minor office surgeries.

  • Maintains medication and immunization records.
