Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator Nursing Floors to join our growing 9 River Pavilion team in Richland, WA!
Shift Details: Full time, 1.0, Days. 8 hour day shift.
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher, or in progress. If Bachelor’s in Nursing or higher is in progress, must be completed within 3 years from date of hire
2 years of recent nursing experience in an Stepdown or ICU unit.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
Active membership in professional organization(s) (as applicable)
Master's Degree from an accredited educational institution.
2 years of recent nursing experience in related clinical setting.
Healthcare leadership and/or supervisory experience.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Under the direction of the Unit Manager, supervises the day to day activities of the Unit; Serves as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients and their families to facilitate safe and effective flow of patient care in a manner consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of Kadlec Regional Medical Center; and assists in providing direction and supervision of nursing and support staff, as well as perform related duties as assigned.
Demonstrate and sustain compliance with Kadlec Caregiver Expectations Standard of Excellence and Code of Conduct.
Understand, embrace, and instill Kadlec’s Mission, Vision and Values.
Act as a resource to staff, physicians, and visitors.
Collaborate with other departments to create systems and problem solve ongoing issues that impact departmental/organizational goals and/or patient care delivery.

Take actions that indicate a consideration of others and being aware of the impact of one’s behaviors on others.
Optimize use of time by effectively using resources to identify barriers and balance priorities.
Efficiently utilize tools, resources, techniques, and/or systems to organize tasks.
Balance multiple priorities simultaneously, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of each task while maintaining quality standards.
Provide input and participates in real time feedback, as requested.
Direct and supervise employees.
Collaborate with Human Resources on personnel issues.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruitment items including completing requisitions, interviewing, hiring.
Insure appropriate staff competencies are maintained (licensure, certification, orientation, mandatory training continuing education).
Continually assess staffing needs and adjust staffing assignments as needed to provide optimum patient care and productivity.
Assist Manager in assessing and planning educational needs of staff, and makes recommendations.
Provide leadership and guidance in goal setting, problem solving, resource management, outcome achievement and performance improvement activities.
Assist Manager and/or Educator and staff in development of a Process Improvement Plan.
Coordinate collection of data and works collaboratively with manager and staff to interpret data and to plan and implement techniques for improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to create systems.
Problem solves ongoing issues that impact departmental/organizational goals and /or patient care delivery.
Coach staff effectively in growing and being successful in their current job duties.
Organize and coordinate office functions (types memos, attends meetings, takes minutes, types reports and approves time cards).
Participate in unit and house-wide quality improvement activities in order to improve patient care and comply with regulatory groups such as Leapfrog and Core Measures.
Provide support to the Manager as directed. Perform other duties as assigned.
