Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Student Pharmacy Technician to join our growing Pharmacy team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Full time, 1.0, 40 hour week, Variable
H.S. Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution
HIV/AIDS training course to be completed prior to date of hire
Pharmacy Assistant Licensure required within 6 weeks from date of hire into the position
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Under the supervision of the Manager, Pharmacy Infusion Services KC, the Student Pharmacy Tech. will serve as a trainee in Washington State Board approved Pharmacy Tech. Training program.

Maintain confidentiality and patient information.
Maintain the laminar flow hoods and the working area in an aseptically clean condition.
Practice effective infection control procedures, including preventing transmission of blood borne and airborne diseases.
Prepare non-hazardous and hazardous IV sterile products.
Properly dispose of all materials used when mixing chemotherapy or non-chemotherapy IVs.
Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Assist pharmacists in collecting, organizing, and recording demographic and clinical information for direct patient care and medication-use review.
Assist pharmacists in preparing, storing and distributing medication products requiring special handling and documentation (ie. Immunizations, chemotherapy, and investigational drugs).
Verify measurements, preparation, and/or packaging of medications produced by healthcare professionals.
